Earlier this year a stray cat showed up at our house and never left. I took him in to take care of him while we looked for possible owners. In the meantime, I went to the store and bought a bag of cat food and bought some canned cat food. He loves the hard cat food and liked the canned cat food but didn't seem enthusiastic about eating it. I did research and I know wet cat food is better for cats. I then went onto YouTube to find videos for making homemade cat food that is healthier than commercial cat food.
I came across Dr. Dody's videos and watched several of her videos. So I downloaded the mini cookbook and made a batch of cat food and my cat loved it. He eagerly ate it. The first batch I made without the premix and oil as I first wanted to see how he would take to not eating the canned food. Once I saw he liked homemade food I got the supplements and got some reusable, freezer-safe deli containers and made a few batches of homemade food. I am a busy mom to 3 so I set aside a day to make a month's worth of cat food, keep 3 days of food at a time in the fridge, and freeze the rest. He loves the chicken with a variety types of fish recipes and loves a little pumpkin in his food. I have not been able to cut him completely off of dry cat food but he mainly eats the homemade cat food and just grazes on the dry cat food..... maybe only 1/2 a day if that. I have noticed that he has more energy and his coat is so much softer. I am so thankful to Dr. Dody for posting her videos on Youtube for me to have found and for her expertise and products.
I bought the full cookbook for cats and have told my neighbor who has 2 cats and shared the videos with her as she would like to try it with her cats. The supplements are easy to use and I like that they are easy to add to the batch of food to be sure my furry baby gets all the nutrients he needs to be healthy. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!
